The Department has the Institutional Life Membership of ISTE, IETE. and faculty
membership of IEEE society.
The Department received three projects (HMI based centralized water
distribution system for metro cities, detecting poisonous gases in sewage
lines, and smart traffic signaling System) from DST, Govt. of India (NSTEDB)
New-Gen IEDC Programme with a sanctioned fund of Rs. 2, 50,000 worth of Rs 7.5
lakhs and successfully completed.
Department received a grant of rupees 16,30,000 in 2018-19 from AICTE for
modernization of PC based Advanced Process Control Laboratory and its
infrastructure development.
The department is actively involved in the development of SMART TRAFFIC
SIGNALLING SYSTEM with Mr. G. Venkateswarlu, as the principal investigator. The
project provides a centralized platform for providing a collaborative research
and development environment with faculty and students.
The Department is conducting several short-term courses, Faculty Development
Programs, workshops and guest lectures for the benefit of External and Internal
faculty members and students under ISTE Chapter and Department Students
Association (Instroglitz). The Department encourages the faculty members to
enhance their knowledge by attending the Faculty Development Programs and Short
Term Courses conducted by other reputed institutions.
EIE Department is an Authorized Training Center of Mitsubishi Electric Pvt Ltd.
with a Robotic kit worth around 35 lakhs
